Carlos Arcila’s passion for marine ecosystems has shaped his path as an emerging scientist committed to protecting Puerto Rico’s natural resources. Through Navigating Home, he is turning that sense of purpose into action, gaining hands-on experience in marine conservation and coral restoration.
As part of his fellowship, Carlos works with Pa’ Ti Mar, where he contributes to efforts focused on the restoration and protection of coral ecosystems. This experience allows him to strengthen his technical skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the work required to support healthier and more resilient marine environments.
For Carlos, the fellowship is an opportunity to connect his scientific interests with meaningful work taking place in Puerto Rico.
