HÅFA ADAI FROM THE GUAM HUB!
Håfa Adai and a sunny island welcome to all members of our NSF Navigating Home community from the team here at the University of Guam's Center for Island Sustainability and Sea Grant! We are incredibly honored and excited to serve as the Guam Hub for this vital initiative. The Navigating Home Program resonates deeply with us here on Guam. After seeing hundreds of our people pursue opportunities off-island, along with our partner hubs in Puerto Rico and U.S Virgin Islands, we come together to help end the brain drain in our respective islands and bring our people home. Over the course of this program, we look forward to fostering a vibrant space for collaboration, learning, and discovery. Together, we will explore new pathways to strengthen our communities and build capacity in our fellows through the amazing support of our partners and host sites. Thank you for joining us on this important voyage. We are thrilled to embark on this journey with you. Si Yu'os Ma'åse'!

HOW FELLOWSHIP WORKS
Are you excited to get started, or know someone who would be a perfect fit for this fellowship? Then, get ready to jump on in! If accepted to this fellowship, the NSF Navigating Home Guam Hub pays for your ticket back to paradise and may even assist with your relocation expenses. When you arrive home, we will help you bring your knowledge to our people through a pairing with one of our partner host sites. Your paid term with the government or University of Guam agency will help you further develop your skills with the mentorship of program leaders, and help to bring your off-island knowledge back into the community. Meet our Workforce Fellows
Our Guam Workforce Fellows are emerging leaders dedicated to creating positive change in their island community. These current and recent graduates bring fresh ideas and a deep commitment to the environment, contributing to projects in marine and environmental science. Collaborating with local agencies, nonprofits, and faculty at the University of Guam, they engage in hands-on efforts—from coastal resilience and habitat restoration to community education and research support. Each fellow reflects the strength and promise of Guam's youth, demonstrating how local leadership and investment can shape a more sustainable and resilient future for the island.
